Working With Kids – Why I Love It!

Friday, September 9th, 2011

Smiling Kid with Black Hair

In 2008 nearly 100% of our business was with corporate clients. Our entire business was focused around that, and things were great!

Then the Great Recession hit.

When companies are laying off employees, the last thing they’re interested in is hiring entertainment.

It was at that point we reorganized our business around the family and school market.

Until that point I had never worked too much with kids.

Halloween Shows for Family Parties

Pumpkins glowing on water

Oh man… I NEED this.

I’ve been waiting my whole life for this!

How can I not buy this?

In my hands I’m holding a blonde afro wig. This thing has an “awesome” factor so intense that it’s creating a reality distortion field around it!

Oh, did I mention I’m standing in the middle of our local Halloween store that opens up around this time every year? Yeah… I love that place a little tooooo much…

Yeah. I’m not going to admit how much I spent on pointless costume pieces last year, but it tops four digits.

It’s bad. I need an intervention.

That reminds me though…

Kids Party Entertainers Top 3 Secrets

Wednesday, August 31st, 2011

Top Secret logo that's been altered by urban art to read as stop secrets

A lot of people ask us why we still do kids parties. Our business has expanded into new territories and the profit margins are razor thin. Aren’t there better ways for us to be spending our time?

Partly, it’s because we like keeping our chops sharp. If you can keep a crowd of 50 kids engaged while they’re veins are pumping with birthday cake, Sweet Tarts and Red Bull, you can handle anything.

Beyond that we care about kids and the entertainment they’re getting. One of the goals of our company from day one has been to always set the bar higher. We want the rest of the industry scrambling to keep up with us.

Many parents looking for kids party entertainers just want the cheapest quote. That’s a mistake. This isn’t like buying deodorant at Wal-Mart. All things are not equal.

Here are the top three industry secrets you probably should know.

Cool Customer Comments: Wilson Memorial Hospital

Saturday, April 30th, 2011

One of the most gratifying things about what we do is hearing back from satisfied customers!

To be completely transparent for a second… Running a business is a lot more difficult than most people think. If I could spend all of my time performing, that would be great! That’s not the way things work though.

Getting packages like this in the mail really brightens my day. It really means the world to me, and that’s why I’m sharing it with you!

Producer with Video Camera

Please Note: This event has been temporarily canceled. We are working to reschedule for a different day!

Short Version: Download Video Shoot Flyer

I have an exciting announcement to make!

Over the past year we’ve been developing a new “Upscale Family Show”. We’ve been performing it all over the state and have been getting phenomenal responses from it.

The video trailer you see on the site right now is of our “Premier Show”. It’s great for corporate groups, fairs, and festivals.

We found that many of you are looking for something more cost effective designed for smaller gatherings. Things like family reunions, birthday parties, and other events.

Have I Seen This Act Before? It’s Deja Vu!

Friday, February 18th, 2011

I’ve watched a TON of magic acts.

It comes with the territory of my profession. I have to know what’s out there and what everyone else is doing.

I’ve seen many entertainers perform multiple times over the years. It’s always interesting to see how much, or how little they change their acts.

In many cases I see guys who are so used to doing “their thing” that an astroid shower could rain down upon the audience and they’d keep plowing forward!

It’s the same tricks done the same way with the same jokes. Year after year… Sometimes I can mouth along with their routines!

I’m not here to criticize anyone, but… Do these guys get repeat customers?
